Immune Response, Gene sequence to Contagious Ecthyma Virus (Orfv) Infected Lambs in Diyala Governorate, Iraq

Contagious ecyhyma Known (Orf, contagious pustular dermatitis, sore mouth, scabby mouth) a disease spreads easily and brought by the epitheliotropic. It’s endemic around world has serious economic impact. This study aimed to understand immune response mechanisms of lambs defense against ecthyma virus molecular detection with determining sequence mutant viral genome 91 (41 clinical signs Orfv 50 control do not have sign Orfv) for period extended from September 2022 April 2023. Blood samples were collected all above groups apply level IgM, IgG, IL-10, IFN-γ ELISA test. Positive IgM was 75.6% infected lamb 72% none infected, positive IgG 90.2% 88% infected. The result showed IL-10 significant increasing, in Lambs compared group. non differences between Molecular confirmed positivity IgM. And sequencing DNA some Allel References strain registered at NCBI. Concluded: high prevalence among happened mutants increased virus’s virulence affecting response.
